Cylinder brushes, also called Roller brushes, are constructed in the shape of a cylinder (hence the name) by one of two methods. Either bristles are
affixed into holes drilled in the core or base, or a strip brush (a thin brush with bristles placed in a metal channel) is wound around a core very tightly to cover the face of the core with bristles. The
core can be made with a hole drilled in the middle to accommodate a shaft, or with a split core that bolts together. Regardless of the construction, cylinder brushes are used for many purposes mentioned
below.
