  Round Brush Manufacturing

round brush A round brush may be constructed in many sizes with a variety of bristle material in various patterns. Round brushes are used to clean an endless array of products. These brushes are typically made in staple set fashion, the bristle tufts stapled to the core. A round brush can also be made with the tufts hand tied or glued into place, or by placing a strip brush in a round shape by continuously winding it, affixing it to a cylinder, a cup, or a wheel. Hole patterns, hole density and materials are usually determined by the application. Possibilities are virtually unlimited.

Cylinder brushes, also called Roller brushes, are constructed in the shape of a cylinder (hence the name) by one of two methods. Either bristles are affixed into holes drilled in the core or base, or a strip brush (a thin brush with bristles placed in a metal channel) is wound around a core very tightly to cover the face of the core with bristles. The core can be made with a hole drilled in the middle to accommodate a shaft, or with a split core that bolts together. Regardless of the construction, cylinder brushes are used for many purposes mentioned below.
